 About Me

I have a Bachelor's of Fine Art from Syracuse University, and many years experience with customer service, management, design, and production in the picture framing industry. I studied at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy, an accredited school that is nationally recognized for its excellence. I have been a practicing massage therapist since 2004. Currently I am the lead massage therapist and trainer at Keldara, one of the largest day spas in New England, located in Dedham, Massachusetts; and also practicing privately out of Anania Chiropractic's office in the Federal Hill neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island. I also periodically take my table to local businesses to provide in-office massage services. I am continuing my education part time at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, working on a master's degree in Holistic Counseling. My intention is to combine my background in art, and my massage skills with a body/mind/spirit approach to healing, to offer my unique perspectives and skills to help people find more balance, ease, and opportunity for growth in their lives.

My approach to massage therapy blends a detailed, technical knowledge of human anatomy with an intuitive, felt sense of where, how long, and how deeply, to work. My intuition has developed naturally as the result of putting my hands on hundreds of people in the course of my work, but also as the result of actively communicating with my clients, seeking feedback, and practicing mindfulness with their subtle cues of breath, muscle holding, expressions, and so forth. I practice twice daily meditation and bring that cultivated attention to my work. I also regularly seek out skilled massage practitioners to recieve massage from, to learn new techniques and to be reminded what it feels like to experience bodywork.

I have certifications and/or training in swedish, sports, deep tissue, prenatal, birthing & post-partum, thai table massage, hot stones, reiki, chakra, body scrubs, pathologies, and ethics.
